If Obama wins of if Romney wins?
I am thinking about picking up some more silver and would appreciate everyone's opinion.
Thanks, GrandAm

I knew it would happen.

it won't matter which of them wins. it's the fed.

I put Ruger on my watch list at the end of 2011 (Oct/Nov) as I was looking at picking one up. Should have bought it...everyone should have. And I got a Beretta instead.

Yes but the President will appoint a new Fed Chairman so is the general feeling that Romney will better fix the economy and thus be a negative for precious metals?
We know we are ------- if the present course is not corrected but can Romney fix (help) it?

OH CRAP!!!!!!!
Maybe I better vote for Barry

He will appoint who his large donors (guess who) tell him to appoint. That is just how it works. They didn't give that money away, they bought influence with it.

Jim, I truly hope you are right
I wish I had just 2% of your confidence
the actual ongoing economic conditions will have the real influence.
I forsee a short-term drop in PMs if Romney wins as Republicans are supposed to be better fiscally and better for business than the dems.
I still think it is too early to call Obama or Romney, but the press is already figuring out the story behind the unemployment numbers. It could be in the 7s come election time, but I do not think that will placate the voters anymore. As a result, I'm leaning more Romney as the winner right now.
I just hope Ron Paul signs up as a Indep candidate so I can vote for him. I'd rather vote for having more political parties over voting for either tweedle-dee or tweedle-dum.
I still think electing a Rep. president will just send a bad message to them that "playing chicken with the economy and the US solvency is ok."

If Ron Paul runs, he could siphon off enough Republican votes to allow Obama to win. It will be a close election.

<< <i>I do not anticipate much of a move regardless of the outcome of the election. I cant predict a winner at this point either. I never liked the idea of voting for someone based on which letter follows their name. I wish there was a true independent to vote in, but corruption from the left and the right will not allow it. Its a shame that the government allows two different parties to pit themselves against each other. I refuse to play the game. I will not allow a news channel or my job tell me how to vote, or what I should believe in. >>
My sentiments exactly.
I have no idea how the election will effect prices, history has proven it's pure folly to make investment predictions, based on the candidate or party. Of course, that doesn't mean the voting public doesn't believe they can't make those assumptions, or a bunch of others for that matter. ;~)
It really more matters what you do as an individual in your PM plan.
