Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

I am still amazed that fridays are big sales days for Legend, i did not figure that their customers would have to wait until payday or even get paid weekly on fridays. Now my customers, i have to get to them by 6p.m. on friday or i will have to wait till the following friday to get paid. They get paid by 5 p.m. and they are out of money by midnight.
I perfer to do my heavy buying on Monday or Tuesday of each week.

rallies is that CAC premiums on generics shrink as the low grade coins catch up. That's simply saying that buyers are less fussy as supply starts to shrink. During the last major
run up in generic gold the MS65 Saint cac premiums were no more than a $100 or so. If I recall I think the MS66 premiums shrunk to around $200 (currently around $800). People needed product and it really didn't matter what that product was. Generics that have gotten bashed (such as MS63-64 $5/$10 Indians and Libs) will likely outpace the MS65's and even the CAC gems. The demand for absolute quality and "squeaky clean" coins is at a peak right now. Only the best will suffice. The next 6 month upward move in gold (whenever that occurs) will probably reverse this course and "junk" will probably outperform "gems." It's hard not to see that gold miners and MS 63-65 generic gold have followed the same basic trend over the past 24 months. Generic mint state 63-65 gold and gold miners have tanked approx -35% while bullion held value fairly well (-15%). When miners finally turn the tide, I think generic gold will as well. Right now there is a mental block for most investors concerning miners and generic gold. Whether we ever see another 2005/2006 or 2009-type generic gold rally remains to be seen. As the price of gold gets high enough, most people won't want to pay any premiums over melt for "common" gold. The only exception to that might be if certain forms of bullion gold become very difficult to obtain, or restrictions are placed upon them. That could make something like a MS65 or MS66 Saint more desireable.
<< <i>Wonder why they are not going to have a table at a major show such as the ANA in Denver? >>
Sounds like it's a buying trip for inventory.
I know "cameo" is a typo, but what is good "clip"

heh, "at a good clip" just means a good (edit: fast) pace. I think maybe it's a nautical term.
<< <i>A gold heavy report

Thanks for posting MJ. A gold heavy report is my kind of report. Add while it is on sale.

<< <i>Wonder why they are not going to have a table at a major show such as the ANA in Denver? >>
Unfortunately the mid-Winter ANA shows are never well attended. I know of numerous dealers who have cancelled their trips in the last 2 weeks.
The locations are always a little off-beat (Portland, Cleveland, etc), and the shows typically aren't considered "major". It's basically on par with Long Beach, but it gets expensive and tiring traveling to so many cities on a monthly basis. On top of the fact that there are no grading services (I don't know why NGC isn't attending when they are the official grading service) and there is also not going to be an auction during the show. Also, the ANA tables are very cost prohibitive. They require you to stay far too long and the tables are well over-priced for a mediocre show.
All of these things come together to make it a rather unexciting event.
I wonder if she will someday be remembered even more for her reports than her dealing in coins?
Sure it makes sense to TRY to figure it out as I am sure she would love to take a day off or two if she could figure it out and let TDN handle all the calls
But the reality is that there might be no rhyme or reason why Fridays might sometimes be great days and other times be dead days.
I am sure she knows we are about to enter the summer slow season if not there already and throwing out that last hailmary for the endzone.
