I know, I saw that Sean. But with a card that expensive, why have the "SSWORLD" letters covering part of the card, especially the corner? You should also turn the card to show it horizontally (and enlarge it) and show an enlarged pic of the back. IMO he leaves $$ on the table with just that one pic.

I agree that the scan is not the best but I can email better picks if anyone is interested. I took some shots close up with the IPhone. PM if you would like one.

Completely agree with Doug. I card worth that kinda coin shouldn't be lumped in a scan with four others. You should have nice front and back horizontal scans that show the true beauty of that Clemente. Just a little food for thought for next time. Good luck with the sale!

Since you think the scan is a horrible one and effect the sale in two days, I would love to have your opinion on what you think this card will sell for due to the bad scan? I totally agree it is not crystal clear like some of these "professional" ebayer like 4-sharped corners or Probstein. Do you think I am leaving $300 off the table or $100? Please by all means respond to what you think this card will end up at. I am pretty positive it will work out just fine.

Shane, Doug and I are only trying to help you, so there's no need to go on the defensive. There are a lot more buyers who care about the card itself than the assigned grade. This includes dealers and others who are looking for "bumpable" cards. In fact there are many who scout out cards with poor scans only to buy 'em and sell 'em for a profit. In my opinion anything that is worth at least a couple hundred dollars should have its own scan. And cards with a horizontal design should be shown horizontally. This gives a much better idea on centering. Also, your watermark is covering one of the corners. You should start it below the card. As for how much you are or are not leaving on the table, who knows? But why not put yourself in the best position to maximize your sales price?

If you want an example of someone whose poor scans hurt his sales, check out this seller:

I totally agree with what you and Doug are saying however I would like to know what you think this card will sell for with the bad scan. You offered your opinion which I agree with however to prove your point please tell me what this card will sell for with the bad scan so we can discuss this in two days. Do you think a PSA 6.5 will sell for $1600 with a good scan or $2000 with a good scan?

Yes the shipping will include DC and insurance. I never sell on ebay so I was just adding cost that I felt was fair. I will pay the difference for the appropriate costs.

Believe me I have heard many horror stories about people not putting DC on the package and taking a bath from the loss.

I'd say you are leaving $300+ on the table with your current auction.

    Thanks,

Advice from another collector is to add signature confirmation. Will this be sufficient? Any help will be appreciated.

Well 11 hours left and it is at $1600. I thought the market on this card being centered the way it is would bring $1800. Anyone think this goes above $1800?

It sold for $1686 which is pretty good considering there has only been four ever sold and this was the second highest. I am pleased. Thanks for the advice to all who helped.
