Rebounded a bit in Pack 5 with a very strong Bob Apodaca.

OK the Munson isn't bad either. One of my all-time favorite cards. Hard to believe that I never actually owned one until now.

1979 was a very traumatic year for Yankees fans. They traded Mickey to the Rangers...among other events.

I don't care if there were no stars--I enjoyed the thread. This is far and away my all-time favorite set. I haven't opened a wax or cello pack from 1976 since, well, 1976. Thanks for letting me experience this along with everybody else--I could almost taste the bubble gum.

Since interest in this 1976 pack card-by-card rip has sort of waned, I'll just post my 5 favorites from the last 4 packs:

This is a beautiful rendition of a once-revered card.

Sorry it's out of focus. I must have been excited. 2nd to last card in last pack. It has its issues but still cool.

Thanks for the show Chris. Very nice vintage 76. I agree with David that the Fisk and Lynn look really great. Too bad about Ray Fosse. I always liked that card. Do you think Pete Rose dinged his corner.

Fisk and Lynn got 8s. Munson and gamble 7s. Randolph miscut. Apodaca very strong card - 8. The PSA Gods deemed the Danny Ford worthy of a 9. Thank God.

Very happy that Eck got an 8.
