<< <i>I think this has turned into a contest to see how many people can talk bad about a card so they won't get bid up too high on it. >>
Damnit I've been discovered! Also, I've secretly been hoping that Spence would be going in for a 2 week colonoscopy beginning on Monday, and to facilitate that, I mailed him a 1 year supply of Mad Dog 357 Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce.

Is anybody here considering taking a shot on any of these?A real bid,not just a bid to be in for a god I hope everybody else forgets about this card and I win.Just curious,I'm not a baseball card guy at all but loved looking thru these gems, any football sets like this around?

I'll be making serious bids for 3 cards for sure. There's also one other card that I am debating and will depend on the hammer price of any of the other 3.
Many, many years ago, I recall hearing about Reggie Jackson collecting baseball cards. I even remember a quote by Reggie saying that "I buy every Cal Ripken rookie card I can get my hands on." This was probably during the prime of Ripken's career, so it was definitely a long time ago. Has anyone heard anything else about Reggie and his collecting since?

<< <i>Spence may buy "all" of the big boys....Aaron, Clemente, Killer, Kaline >>
I think there is a very good possibility that this is exactly what will happen.

Yes, I have my eye on a few, and I will bid strong. Not counting on winning any of them given who my competition is likely to be, but you never know.

I like them ala Pedigrees of comics. Adds a bit of provenance. I'm going after one.
I didn't know Dmitri had so many modern cards, from 1975-85. Pretty good assortment of players.
