A friend and I stopped by a McDonald's last night after some morel hunting. Purchased a large drink w/free refills for $1.00, two double cheeseburgers for $1.29 each, a small fries for $1.19, and two apple pies for $1.00. We watched a little Fox News on the TV and then played some original Mario Brothers (in the modified two player vs way) on the free arcade.
I do see inflation, but in my experience, McDonald's still provides a good value. The McDonald's in the OP must really suck.

Of course, higher prices do not cause inflation. Higher prices are inflation."
