Lost album....

LanLords thread about a lost coin that you know you have but can't find reminded
me of my latest problem (a couple of years ongoing as of now) is that I can't find
my dang set of Indian Cents.
A little background first. I started collecting them back in the 50's in a blue Whitman
and slowly, ever so slowly, began completing the set.
As the years went rolled on I would upgrade existing cents with new finds or just fill
in a hole that needed filling.
So, for the last several years I've been stashing away Indian Cents with the idea of
checking them against those that I already have in the book.
Well, last night I spent a better part of 4 hours looking for my Indian Cent album.
All to no avail. Lost, gone, kaput.

Now what do I do. My coin room is all of a 6x8 room. Not so big as to lose something.

But, in searching I did find my lost V nickel album and updated that one! Forgot I even
had saved that one! Has both an '85 and '86 as well as tons of buffalos!

But, sadly, no Indians. Maybe next year I'll look again.

First: Look next to my missing 1875-s dime, your IHC album is sure to be there!

second: You have an 1885 and 1886 nickel and don't have the 1884? It usually works out the other way around! image

You shouldn't start with "It usually works the other way around", Mr. "I have a 1796 Quarter but not an 1804!!!" image

Why is the 93 upside downimage

After seeing your nickel book you probably have the 77 and 09-S indians in there don't you, gotta keep better track of those key date coins. Maybe your indians are hidden under a pile of magazines in another room after showing them off... maybe they just went on the warpath for being couped up for the last 60 years and went on holiday without you... maybe they will return after they wear off a little energy and a couple of grade points.image

I do hope they show up someday and yes there are both S mint Indians there but no 77.
The '93 is upside down because the CC mint was closed in '93 and it was just a sad year.

Will update if I ever find those little pennies.

I have no idea why I've never found a 1884 nickel. Should have but just haven't. Maybe
I ought to buy the few remaining missing nickels?

Hope it did not walk off as these albums sometimes do.
