Quite a few people prefer to keep their coins raw in the collection. This is especially true with World Coin collectors.
Having said that, I would not recommend buying raw 8 Reales unless you're buying from a reputable dealer specializing in Spanish coins, or you know the series and able to spot fakes yourself. None of the coins DeiGratia has for sale are counterfeits. I've picked-up a few to add to my collection.

If you are an investor, you might want to get them slabbed.
If you know what to look for, they don't need to be slabbed.
If the Chinese are making these so good to fool me, then they'll probably fool NGC and most likely PCGS, so what's the point?
99% of my coins are from Auero, Marti Hervera, and Cayon.
