4/9 - sent this into Pcgs, it graded XF40 and was designated Sans Serif.
There are now 3 graded by PCGS, mine is the lowest graded.
Line # Item # Cert # PCGS No. CoinDate Denomination Variety Country Grade
1 1 xxxxxxxxx 395066 1946-S 10C USA XF40
I think this coin is for sale

Came across this tonight. I've looked online and there seem to be a few different 1946-S sans serif images out there that mine seems to fall in the middle of. The top picture is my dime, the second picture is what the cherrypickers photo looks like. The bottom coin is another 1946-S with the standard MM.
Richards Roosevelt Review has a picture that closley matches mine link
The only thing that doesn't look like the CP dime is the thickness and the tail is a little different.

also check the obverse for ODV-002 as this is a very rare combo.

I'd be happy and thinking sans serif.

Thats because your coin has a hit or 2 and its got some wear.
You definitely have the san serif S there. There were 3 different MM's in 1946 and you are showing 2 of them here.
All 3 are shown in Richards Roosies.
<< <i>So, is this a good thing? Should I get it graded? >>
did you check it for this yet??

I'd be all over that bit of info,
I found it in a $100 face value bag of junk silver dimes I purchased a while ago. I still have no idea if this is a $10, $100, or a $1,000 coin so i'm not sure if I should get it graded. I'm fairly close to baltimore so maybe I'll take it up tomorrow and drop off my 2012 gold buffalo coins.
Probably grades VF
Hoard the keys.

sending in to be graded and attributed. Just my opinion but I would value the coin at $50. Not worth
much premium until you hit MS grade.

congratz
appreciate the extra info, still would love to see that holder ;-)

That is one rare dime you have there. I've been looking for one for decades and have yet to find one.
Is this what's being referred to ---- ?
(I see lots of gaps in previous posts, but just the single obv.rev pair of a coin.)
I will post pictures soon
This coin matches the one on variety vista WEB site
It is FS 504
I have 3 all are mint state. 2 are NGC MS-66 FB and one is raw
gratz!
