Between the bottom left corner, the o/c, and the print defects on the top border, that is not a good looking card.
<< <i>absolute sincelessness. >>
What if you get $40 for your Murray? I think yours looks better than the first one.
<< <i>It doesn't make sense!!!People think he is the only guy who can sell a graded card and ship it on eBAY!!!!
It makes a lot of sense... his auctions probably get ten times the looks as a normal seller's auctions. The more you sell, the more cross-promotion you get, thus the more interested parties.

Kinda like an Aaple product. Everyone's got one or will eventually.
I pay more for cards sometimes if there are multiple items I've boughten from one seller. Sometimes I pay a little more for convenience.

Its because its a very rare card in any condition, let alone a 6.... and only shows for sale once a year, if that...... and he is easily the most popular player of the last 100 years.

NUH-UH!!!
<< <i>On the card in question, all it takes is two. If you look at the bidding, it jumped from $15 to the $40. The $15 was where the card probably should have finished at, and is the more sensible bid. This auction just happened to have two village idiots who had no clue what the card was really worth......hence the high bid. >>
Exactly... and the more people who SEE your auctions, the better the chance of reeling in two (or more) village idiots.
That's in addition to branding/name recognition, time on EBay, shipping, customer service, etc, etc.
I don't why everyone is always so surprised. This comes up every week.
Enjoy it, it's great for sellers, great for the hobby.
That's why there are less sellers on EBay, consigning is the way to go IMO.

Not enough 99 cent auctions out there. Maybe because too many sellers are afraid they will be stuck having sold PSA graded cards for 99 cents each.....

I doubt either of those two bidders are going to lose sleep that they over paid according to the VCP average.
They saw an item they wanted and put in a bid at a price they would have been happy to win the card at.
<< <i>Until the next morning at least. >>
Hasn't everyone done that at least once?
"Live everyday, don't throw it away"
A piece of cardboard is a piece of cardboard no matter whose name is plastered all over the Ebay listing. If some fool decides to pay for all the hype, that's their problem.
That being said, if I were a seller a would consign everything I had to this guy, merely to avoid all the Ebay bs. But as buyer, I avoid at all costs.
That's my two cents worth.
I don't know if cards are "hot" right now or not, but I think people may have a little more money in their pockets, at least unemployment #'s didn't increase...this month. And if people have more money to spend they spend....and be stupid.
