Sometimes, you just have to . . .

No idea of the value, but since I've never seen one, I figured this would be the perfect addition to my 1948 Leaf Football set, so I bid to win.

Now, if only I can find a wrapper and my white whale, a sealed pack!!!

That is way Cool !!!!!!!!!!!!! Whatever happened to your Wire Photo companion collection, finding things just slow down?

Oh, nevermind. Sweet item, however I'm just not liking your focus. I mean really? How about doing what real collectors do? Get hammered and buy random items at will, resulting in a cram-packed card closet full of items that you have no interest in.
This whole themed-collection just bothers me, even though it is a very impressive collection.
congrats,
Mike
Congrats on picking up a great companion piece to your 1948 Leaf collection.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

I found a 1948 Bowman wrapper for sale, it might be easier for you to just start a 48 Bowman set then to find a 48 Leaf wrapper

That, at this time, is still uncertain. It will probably remain in safe storage until I manage to track down a wrapper...

Been there, done that. Accordingly, a more narrow focus has allowed me to stash cash for such convoluted purchases... I'm just thankful that the closing price isn't showing, yet so I don't get mocked for what I spent on an old, empty box.

Thanks to all for the kind words...
The Wire Photo project is still in place as well as the autographs. After some intial success on the photos, things dried up. And I'm at a serious roadblock on the autographs... This will have to suffice for now.
