Canon T2i

Just got my new camera body after being inspired by another thread. Out of the box, without opening the directions, just setting the white balance and then shooting aperature preferred at about 8, I got these results. I think it's a worthwhile upgrade to my 4 yr old canon DSLR which I will now have available for hand held shots of kids and other things. Lots of megapixels allows amazing enlarging.

The one suggestion I will make to you based on my usage of this setup is to connect your camera to your computer using the USB cable, and control all of your settings using the free Canon EOS utility that came with your camera. This includes remotely triggering the shutter as well as using the SW to remotely fine-tune your focus. While the auto-focus is surprisingly good, it will be even crisper if you use the remote SW to focus down to a gnat's a**.
do you think the new body makes a difference using the same lens?
The closeup crops were added because the old camera didn't have enough megapixels to provide that much detail with a 100 mm lens.
