I have no frame of reference for how well that coin is struck, it looks a bit weak to me but that could be the design. I'll split the baby in two and guess MS63.

Good observation Sean. Traditionally a weakly struck year/mintmark for the Arkansas.

MS65. Luster is just bit muted, and that is what I believe would hold it back a bit. Original . .and nice.

  • The eagles talons look to be well defined, I'll give it a 65.

MS65...is that a small dig in the obverse field? That's why I guessed 65.

I was about to guess the grade, when it all started to look very familiar to me...and I realized I sold this coin to you!

This coin was in my 144-piece all-rattler commem Registry set. Wonderful photos, by the way image

The grade is probably at least MS65, but I simply do not like the toning.

I'll guess 65 but since it's in an old rattler slab the label will say 64.

    I could easily see this in a 65 holder but I think it's a 64 rattler. MJ

    Looks a little spotty, I'll say 64.

It must've really gotten knocked down for the spotting which in hand is probably almost not seen. In this case I'm saying that the holder and the bean are wrong. It's remarkably mark free to be in a 63 holder IMO.

I think you're quite right. That coin is a nice 64, even on its worst day.
