Buffalo Nickel doubling question?

jesbrokenjesbroken Posts: 10,589 ✭✭✭✭✭
I have this 1936 P Buffalo Nickel that appears like it might be a ddr, but I am not certain
if what I am seeing is doubling or not. The coin is so lustrous it is hard to photograph, but here are
my best photos I could get.
Thanks for looking.

I say it is a DDR. I see notching on the corners of 'E' and 'B' in 'E PLURIBUS UNUM'.

It may well be a doubled die, only way to be sure is send it to a TPG and since this is a lower value coin ANACS would do just fine.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I just got a new microscope yesterday and played with it on a bunch of coins.

Sorry but this is a ridiculous comment. The only way to be sure is to have someone who knows about coin varieties take a look at it.
Maybe they work for a TPG and will charge you for their opinion, and maybe they don't.
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"
