Evaluate my NEWP 1878 cc Morgan please!

I picked this up locally this morning at a coin shop. I think I did OK with it. I paid $500 for it. It is graded MS 64 in an old NCG no line holder and hardwood presentation case. Do you think it is solid for the grade? Thanks!Text

I love it. It's my first cc Morgan.

I would leave it in that holder for another 10 years and see what it looks like then. These tend to tone up nicely in this type of holder.

These holders don't tone coins. The only ones that did were the old white ANACS slabs and the old PCI slabs.
  • I have no intention of cracking it out but I thought it looked pretty clean for the grade considering it's a Carson City coin.
