It's always fun to claim a discovery!

This is a previously unseen variety of the 1895 Cotton States International Exposition "Palace Dollars" listed in Hibler & Kaplan's "So-Called Dollars". This is a brass composition of HK-271, which I'll unofficially expect to be numbered HK-271a once it is recognized by the consortium that revised H & K in 2008. Previously seen only in aluminum. 38 mm diameter plain edge, weight is 19.6 grams with the 1 mm hole for suspension loop.
