    The obverse is funky and a quarter way convincing. (It might fool you for 5 or 10 seconds.) The reverse is ridiculous. imageimage
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Besides reporting to Ebay I sent the seller a polite note and explained it was a fake.

    Her response to me: "How do you know it was made in China?"

    That response was hilarious to me! I could not stop spitting my coffee!

    Then I did respond: "Because 99% of modern fakes are made there" "Try to get your
    money back".


    She then ended the listing.

    So I can get a bit of education, can you guys that detected it was fake provide some specific things that helped you identify that? For me, the color didn't seem right, and the reverse wear didn't seem right. But other than that, it didn't scream fake to me. I'm not very familiar with this series though. Thanks for the help.
