State quarter challenge to myself

I have been watching the number of members who are or have been working on putting together a Peace Dollar or a nickel album set just by pulling the coins out of the world. So I've decided to challenge myself to do the same with the Statehood quarters that were completed within the past two years. I intend to pull the majority of these coins from the wild population and limit the coins only to the "D" and "P" mintmarks. Any "S" mintmarks will be considered as a bonus, especially if they are silver proof. But I will be concentrating solely on the "D" and "P" mintmarks.
I wonder how long it would take me to complete the set as stipulated. Upon filling in all the slots, I do plan on upgrading the coins for my own enjoyment.
I think that I would take me approximately three years to complete this project. As stated I will not be collecting slabs. I just might try to do a collection of Peace dollars also, but quite naturally I will have to purchase the coins. I also have a Sacajaewa collection started and will try to do a Susan B. Anthony and Eisenhower. These lase three I do have quite a few of these coins already captured. However, at the present I will concentrate solely on the State Quarter.
I think that in order to expediate my quest for the state quarters, I will have to start purchasing quarter boxes.

Would you bust into a mint wrapped role to take just coin out?
The coins are out there , i still come across the earliest state quarters in beautiful condition sometimes. For what its worth high cash turnover places always gave me the best and latest coins , Wendys or McD's , dollar store..all good places. Now my fast food days are ceased i'm not sure where my quarters will come from.
I used to be famous now I just collect coins.

<< <i>The first set i put together from circulation was mixed P & D and only AU or better , that took me 9 months in 2008 to finish. Ive since completed 3 complete P & D albums in Unc or extremely close to it.The Parks quarters have been plentiful and i have 2 sets currently on the go and all up to date both P & D and all from circulation but beautiful flawless examples.

I can appreciate finding coins in the wild but so far I have not found any of the National Parks quarters in the wild. In fact (unless the bank teller has been misleading me) the bank I've been dealing with have not seen any either. I'm in central florida and I think that this area has been shorted on some of the circulating coins more sore than other areas of the country.
This observation is made after reading postings from other forum members. For example, besides not seeing any of the national park quarters I have seen less of the 2009 presidential years penny than I have seen Canadian pennies. And I have looked at over 200,000 pennies. With Disney World down the road apiece I would have expected to see more of each of these coins.
C'est la vie!!!! If it wasn't for purchasing from the mint, I wouldn't have the National Park coins that I do have. I know that they've been released but the must be sitting in either FRB vaults or with JamesMurray.
<< <i>Collecting from circulation is how many of us began our hobby... and it is still possible with the modern coins. Many YN's are doing the SHQ's from circulation. Cheers, RickO >>
thats how i put my shq book together. i still do it ( with no shame
