Looking for a book by Conder " The Slab Book "

I have heard about a book by a man name Conder that tells about his studies on slabed
coins but I can't find any information about it. I read that there is a first edition and might
be a second one and he is supposed to be the man to go to about slabs. Does anyone know
or have heard of the book. I believe it is called The Slab Book and no Google has not been too
friendly on this search.
Thanks
Tiny

  • I just emailed him and when I hear back I'll let y'all know. Does sound like a very interest book for the
library and I hope to get one. I read in a post from several years back here on the board that it was also
available in CD form and another post about maybe a second edition. From what I have read about
Conder101 he is the go to man about slabs. I'm kepping my fingers crossed.

It's a great book and I use it to this day. It came with a CD, but I do not know if I had to pay extra for the CD. If you can get a copy I would highly recommend you buy it.

I've emailed the address at the link a couple of times over the last few years, and there has never been a response. I'd like to know if anyone else has any luck.

The Conder book has been out of print for a while and has become an incredible collectors item in itself.

If you want one you are going to have to pay big bucks for it.

  • I'd like an updated version!

I bought the original and still use it. I didn't get a CD.

I didn't get a CD with mine either, but I seem to remember Conder offering a discounted early bird price. I may be mistaken about that though.

I don't mess with slabs anymore at all, but it's still got some good info in it.

They were originally sold in Dec 03 / Jan 04 and they sold out quickly from what I recall. No idea if an update is in the works. The author hangs out ATS, not here.
