Is there anything in these box even worth pulling? No isiah Thomas, no bird, no ainge, and no magic....lmk, but from what I see a$10 card is about as high value as we'll be getting...if I'm wrong put me in my place, but seriously would like to know what big ticket item we have chance at pulling!

There really aren't any huge pulls from these years. There are some nice rookies, hof'ers and a shot at second year Bird and Magic cards. I think guys either will keep them sealed or open them in the hopes of pulling something worth grading. And even if he did have 80-81 packs there would be no Ainge or Isiah. They are not in that set.
<< <i>There is no decent rcs or in this years, so again, no pulls over $10 possible at $10 a pack...I'm still in, but still a huge disappointment already >>
Then back out or stop b*tching. Maybe you don't get the appeal of unopened packs. It's not always about hitting the $100 rookie card. Look at what some PSA 10's sell for from those years. Or maybe guys keep them closed so it doesn't matter what's inside the packs. If you are buying these because you want a big dollar card drop out and make room for someone else.
Brianwinters-your nothing but a little punk!! Lmao, big man over there across your computer!!! Have done multiple breaks like this on various sites, and yes at $10 a pack it's disappointing that there is NOTHING to hope for...I was going to stay in, but little coward pussies like you take any enjoyment in pack busting and card collecting out of it...
It has nothing to do with wanting a big dollar card, but that is what brings the joy and luster to the breaks! Always hoping for 1 big hit that rarely comes. Seeing that 1 person out of the entire group got that one awesome pull, that's what brings these breaks for any and all collectors the joy, whether it's them that hit it, or someone they know or have dealt with, its a great feeling

Could say the same thing to you big mouth. All you have done is whine about there being nothing in these packs. Maybe you need to stick to collecting Barry Sanders cards. Nobody is holding a gun to your head. If these packs don't do it for you then walk away.
NightCrawler you are in if you would like. I had a guy commit and then back out of the deal. If you don't want the three card lot I have a gentlemen that would be interested.
Thanks and everyone please share your experience and cards via scans.

Impossible. He did not buy anything due to the "quality of friends" that were buying my packs. Apparently, he does not like the guys that purchased these packs and so he backed out.

Poor baby! As I told him he needs to stick to collecting Barry Sanders cards.
Got my packs today. Ended up opening one of the 1977-78's because the wrapper was trashed but it looks like a factory issue and not the seller. The other ones will stay sealed. Got a Brian Winters and a Pete Maravich in the pack. All the other packs look good as far as the seals go. One of the 78-79 packs had a loose seal but there is also a David Thompson on the back. Most likely that way from age. Will be bagging these up and putting them into my newly started unopened pack collection. Would love to see some other years as well in the future. Thanks again!
I don't collect much for basketball, but this was one of the funnest and best rips I've had in awhile. The '77s were OUTSTANDING. Sign me up for the next rip! Here are the highlights from my three runs:
Very nice! That was always the great thing about basketball sets. They were smaller then baseball so you had a better chance at the star cards. Great stuff. Rips like that help prove these come from a good source!
daddymc- Those are some sweet looking cards that you got. I am happy for you and I hope the rest of the guys that bought these cards get some great stuff too. I do have a football rip that still needs to be finished. I probably will start another thread with those 23 lots left and throw out some sort of bonus.

Packs received today. Great packing material. The 77s are razor sharp. Centering is off on some of them but the edges and corners for the most part in the first pack opened are nice. I'll scan later, waiting on new Epson to arrive this week.
I can remember picking up packs of 78s for .10 each and a local Ben Franklin store. Geez, I wish my Grandma would've bought me more.
Thanks,
David (LD_Ferg)

Shane, I'm not sure how long you had these stored, but the cards themselves appear to be in fabulous condition. Other than centering issues keeping these puppies out of PSA holders, the cards were great. I've got a 3" stack from these 12 packs, no bending, warping, etc...
If you run across any more 77s in this shape, let me know.
Thanks for the fun rip. Will post scans later.
Notable hits:
77 - Malone, Gervin 78 - Jabbar (nicest of the 78s), DJohnson 79 - Erving 81 - Bird (nicest of the 81s), Mahorn RC
I pulled a Gervin from every year. LOL
Thanks,
David (LD_Ferg)

Why don't you ease up. You cannot run two different pack rips within the same thread. The rip was for the benefit of the board and I think the board can take a multiple posting every now and again when the logistics of combining them would serve no purpose than to confuse everyone. If you want to be rude, try another forum.

Sorry for being late on the last rip Shane, or shawn??? Not sure what I want to call you this week.
Count me in for a couple of lots. I'll stay in touch for this one.
EDIT: Four pack lots I think. There seems to be some confusion with regard to the cost. I'll assume the four pack lots are a better deal.
I wish godblessUSA would post more often... he's fun and stuff.
Trent you have first option if someone does not pay.
Thank you guys.
Please paypal via gift payment if you guys can.
