Here is what I decided to do to make things easy on the pocket books for all the basketball collectors. I will not break the boxes open until all 36 packs have been sold. I have eliminated the 1975/76 and 1976/77 for cost reasons and shipping reasons since the tall boy would make costs for shipping higher. The four (4) pack run is as follows.

1 pack of 77/78
1 pack of 78/79
1 pack of 79/80
1 pack of 81/82

Cost is $45 for the 4 pack lot or a 3 pack lot for $125.

    Grew up in the 70's and collected way more basketball than baseball. This one would be fun. Just curious what your sources are for these packs?
    Don't feel like laying down good money for resealed packs.

    Good and fair question. I have bought over the years unopened material pretty much sealed cases and very clean boxes from reliable sources. There have been many guys that have purchased some football packs from me as of recently and they were satisfied with the product. I also have sold to one collector one of my older earlier basketball boxes and he has asked to buy more. I would not have bought the boxes and cases if I felt like the product was questionable. I would feel the same way that you and others feel though.

    I will work on a group this week and let everyone know.

    I appreciate the reply and appreciate not taking offense to the question. Can't wait to see what you put together. I spent many nights at the old Milwaukee Arena with my dad watching the Bucks back in the 70's and 80's, hence my love for the old basketball wax.

    Yeah but he is doing different group rips for different sports. Way too confusing to have all that info in one thread. Doing this on the main board is frowned upon if it's not product coming from Steve at BBCE.

    I thought it would be too confusing also if I had a football and basketball thread going at one time especially since they are pretty much the same years. I would hate to sell a group of football cards to a basketball collector. Either way I will bust these out this weekend and try to put together a good lot for you basketball lovers. Looks like we might have 14 or so that are interested. One problem that I am having is that there are only 24 packs in 74/75 and 75/76 and the (newer) 77-82 has 36 packs. I don't know how I would be able to do that. Any thoughts?

    Not sure. 24 slots for one of everything and maybe another 12 slots with just those years??

    Yeah that was my idea. 24 slots for 74-75 to 81-82 and 12 slots for the remaining 77-78 through 81-82 packs.

    That sounds actually like it could work because I have many not wanting the 74-76 but 77-81

    The price is at the top of the page. I was contemplating starting a new thread so this would not be confusing but did not want to get in trouble by the message board police.

    The price is $45 for the four packs and a lot of 3 four packs will be $125. Hope this clarifies this.
