I'm feeling thedutymon's pain (or wrath) . . .

After having pretty much an a-hole-free existence buying and selling, I've recently run into a bunch of cretins. This afternoon, I won an item via a snipe that I set. I received the notice via text (from the snipe program) and via email (snipe program and eBay). I choose not to pay via the phone and don't access computers at work for personal business, so I planned on waiting until I returned home this evening.
In the meantime (less than 7 hours), I received my invoice from eBay and then TWO emails from the seller. The first was noting that payment is expected within 24 hours of auction ending (a violation of eBay's TOS) and the second demanding immediate payment or the transaction will be cancelled and the item relisted (I don't think this is possible until at least 7 days after the auction ends). Well, when I got home, I accessed PayPal and forwarded payment and will wait until I receive the item to rip the seller up and down.
I'm guessing the seller is a little upset that the item went for about $300 less than recent VCP sales. Partly because he listed it poorly with a lame title and partly because his image was extremely lacking. The centering is there and I'm trusting that PSA graded it accurately, so I don't think there's much else to worry about.
One question . . . Neil, have you been sending these dolts my way? If you have, please stop. You can keep them. I don't want them!!!

<< <i>I don't get why you feel the need to rip the seller up and down. If you receive the item and it is what you expected i would just forget it and move on with your life. It seems everyone here loves to rip sellers or buyers if they do just the slightest thing that irritates. There are billions of people in this world and if you cry everytime someone requests their money sooner than required by ebay or any of the other "issues" people talk about on this site you will have a very miserable life. >>
Point lost. Never mind . . .

If I eat at a restaurant and see rats and roaches running around (but the food looks clean), I will not go back, and I'll tell my friends to avoid the place.
Does that make me an a-hole for not minding my own business and taking business away from the restaurant owner?

<< <i>I think you should let it slide for now. Then, if the seller writes to you again in two weeks asking for positive feedback, you should rip him a new "a-hole." Or offer him a chance to buy feedback for a partial refund of the purchase price. Or both. That's what I would do. >>
Yes, threaten to extort for feedback. Works every time.

<< <i>Oh, the irony. >>
Hence the response to earlier stating "point lost." I was going to explain it, but why? Seems no one else saw the point, but are quick to point out the irony. I try to do something a little humorous and unless I paint it with a broad stroke and spell it out, it gets missed...
Humor (or the attempt at such) seems to be a fickle thing.

I figured as much. But then again, for some, thinking may be dangerous.
