speaking of ebay situations>>> heres a comical one

im selling an item for 125$ or best offer with free shipping, (item weighs about seven pounds) i receive and decline an offer of $85 from bidder A, i explain to him that im paying the shipping which will be a minimum of $10 he then offers 90$ while im declining this offer, bidder B pulls the trigger, bidder A notices that its no longer available and contacts me through ebay and offers 120$ i explain to him that it sold at 125$. his response is "ill pay the full 125$ if you dont sell it to the other guy" when i politely decline that, his response is: "i hope you (BLEEPING) drop it and it breaks in half !!" to that i respond, that wouldnt be much of a problem because i have two more. LOL then he asks if i will sell him one of the other two that i have .. my response was not as polite this time.

Make sure you block that guy. He will likely try and bid on something else of yours just so he can leave you a neg.

  • That is hilarious, sometimes I see coins with good prices and people still make offers on them. You know it has to be lowball offers, I just hit the buy-it-now and end it.

    That's great.

    Had a similar one.

Listed a coin for $799 on e-bay with BIN or Best Offer

Get offer of $600, countered at $650 within 1 hour of listing. Sold 1 1/2 hours later at full price. First bidder then asks if I have another for his price..

Happens all the time! If you price it right, stick with your guns.

I had a coin listed last month with a $129 Buy It Now / Best Offer. Someone came along and offered $85, which was automatically rejected. His second offer of $95 came through, and I countered at $109, saying that was my absolute rock-bottom price. He then sent his third and final offer of $105. I'm sure he figured I wouldn't walk away from a sure sale over four bucks. I'm also sure he was quite wrong about that. I ended up selling it about a week later for $115 (to a different bidder).

  • I have been on the bay since 02. I am unaware of the "blocked list". How do I find the feature to block specific bidders?

Easiest way to find it is go to "site map" at the bottom of the page...find "add buyer to blocked list" ...click...add...save ...done

I have a link somewhere but it's more a pain to find it than to use the site map
