Fun Ebay Variety Cherrypicks
I just wanted to share my photos of a pair of varieties I recently cherrypicked from Ebay. Nothing super special, but still fun coins to find unattributed by the sellers.
1872-S Half Dime - DDO (Valentine 6) FS-H10-1872-101 (004). Most visible in "AMERICA"

I was looking for this one using the Cherrypickers' Guide, since I thought it would be fairly easy to spot in a seller's photo, even if it wasn't the best quality. I wasn't 100% confident on this one until it arrived. I figure it's about a VG-10 or so.
For this next one, I have to credit members of this forum for posting a thread about the different mintmark locations on the 1897-S quarters. Some time ago there was a thread describing the much less common center mm variety (not listed in the Cherrypickers' Guide), as distinguished from the right & far right mm placements. I made a note to keep an eye out for an example, and caught this one recently on Ebay, unattributed by the seller.

Probably to badly damaged / worn to grade, but it's still fun to actually find an example! After all, part of the fun is in the hunt to find the varieties!
