Where can I get quality vintage cards these days

Okay, I know there's a secret outlet out there somewhere, who's willing to share it? Me personally, I've all but given up on Ebay. Is every card in the universe NRMT these days? I spend more time sending cards back because they're not even close to NRMT, most barely pass as EX. The scans most sellers put up are terrible at best and then the outrageous shipping costs, not to even mention the "schill" games going on or whatever it is that's artificially inflating the cost of the cards. I have a handful of registry's going, but can't seem to find the quality of card to send in for slabbing, suitable for the registry. So, now I'm relegated to finding graded cards, which takes the fun out of the process, buying your way in. I live a good ways away form a major metropolitan area, so shows are pretty much out. Recommendations please! And please...no mention of Ebay.

Maybe if you buy a DeLorean and get it to 88 mph, you can get to a card show during the 1980's.

Unless you live next to a bunch of senior citizens in farm country, it will be virtually impossible for average collectors to get a "deal" in raw vintage.

  • Ask (older) people you work with if they still have cards that they might be willing to part ways with. Some I'm sure wouldn't mind giving away "old junk" image

If eBay and card shows are out - you might try the BST board at this forum. I've bought some nice, accurately graded raw cards from some fellow board members for very fair prices. You could also start a thread by listing what raw cards you're looking for there. That might be a nice starting point.

    Good luck!

You should not speak to yourself in such a tone.

  • Sorry to interrupt this thread. I tend to get grumpy when Alts call new guys Alts and don't seem to realize that he has followers from other boards where he screwed people.

  • Youre actually dumber than I thought. You have no grounds of proof on any of these claims. You contribute absolutely nothing to these boards except your sarcastic but always useless and off-topic/random comments.

I think you ll find yourself the only one who believes what you just said, dumbass.

Please direct me to meaningful reply you have made. Posting repeat threads of threads you've posted before doesn't count.

  • Umm... lets see.

Someone asked about a card display so they can show cards off and included a link with an eBay auction. Your reply was...

Case sells for $60. Look at the cards in eBay pic. All 36 cards together aren't worth $60. - That wasnt the point you fool.

And Sean, dont you dare give that out!

I was off being a image elsewhere, I was here earlier, saw the potential
but felt it wasn't even worth the effort.

I'd like to hear more about the accusations that were made though.
