Who wasn't spending money? We were. As were a lot of the other guys I talked to.

Again, the majority of dealers we spoke to thought it was a very good show and sales were strong.

There are a heck of a lot of coins out there that have never been to the sticker mill. Instead of asking the seller if the coin has been to CAC, you should be asking yourself if the coin is solid for the grade and is priced right.

<< <i>This is absolutely correct. It's been a very hard sell trying to unload anything but PCGS coins. The vast majority of the dealers won't even look or ask a price for anything else. One major dealer with whom I spoke said there is a 30-30% discount on non PCGS graded coins. This has been ringing true for about 6-8 months now. >>

Wow - and Coinkid just reported hitting the coveted 'gold beans' on four NGC coins he submitted to CAC - so is this a buying opportunity for those who recognize strong coins regardless of the holder? >>

Actually, those were old NGC holders (2.1), so we are back to the holder being important again. image >>

I just happened to see this. Two of the holders were 2.1's, one was a 2.0, and one was only a couple years old! All NGC though! image

While some were spending money, you can be sure a few see April 15th as being just over the horizon.
