I remember back in 2007 when I made a large purchase from A*m*x. I bought generic "fine silver bars" all 10 ozers, so I didnt specifically purchase any brand of bar. I opted for those because they were the cheapest option, I even remember seeing some misc name bars thrown into a pile in the stock photo, which I think is the same photo they are using now for the "generic silver" bars. What I ended up receiving was 95% Johnson Matthey struck bars, and the rest were split between misc name struck bars, and some Engelhard struck and old poured. All of the Johnson Matthey bars were in original plastic, and even though half of them had rips in the plastic and light toning on the edges, all of them were in "uncirculated" condition. I look back at it now and wonder how these were considered "generic" silver back then. Probably wouldnt get those if you bought the "generic silver" option today right?

You did well---Johnson Matthey and Engelhard are two of the best of the brand name bars.

Still not to much of a premium for "JM & Eng. bars at APMEX.
JM & Eng. APMEX
He got the following:
For 5 oz bars: 40 Sunshine bars
For 10oz bars: 30 Sunshine bars
For 100 oz bars: 5 Johnson Matthey Loaf bars
In hind sight, I wish I would have done the same thing. In fact, I will probably do that in 2012 when I start hoarding again.
