What do you think?
The QR barcode is used as a certificate of authenticity.
You can scan it and the website will confirm the manufacturer and the purity.
"Each Swiss made bar contains 1 Troy Ounce of .9999 Fine Gold in original Assay Card.
Assay Card bears a serial number matching the bar it contains.
The face of each bar bears the Swiss Metals name, a hallmark with the bar's contents, a serial number and a QR code."

<< <i>If the Chinese fake the QR code, you search and their website says it's all good though it's a fake. False sense of security. >>
Agree---there's nothing to prevent a counterfeiter from buying a few genuine bars and then reproduce them exactly including the QR code.
