That's pretty cool. Wonder what the final price will bring?

I couldn't imagine busting and sorting 30 cases.

The article makes no mention of rarity, it sounds like this is his standard 2012 card. So WTF?!? Won't there be 100,000 of these out there in a few months?

The final price on this auction? I'm guessing $500.

The final price two years from now?? I'm guessing $5

In case I win that card, does anyone know the squirrel's address and if he's a good TTM signer? Would two acorns be enough to send with the card?

I heard a rumor that this year's Allen and Ginter will have Rally Squirrel paw print autographs, as well as cards that contain authentic squirrel fur.

If three of these cards have already been pulled by case breakers before the official release date, I am going to guess that they are not nearly as "super short-printed" as the ridiculous price of the first one indicates.

The first auction says they are opening 30 cases, the second says 60 jumbo cases, the third says 15 cases, and it is safe to assume that brentandbecca is not done breaking their 60 jumbo cases.

"Now that l'il critter has somehow become big enough to push Schumaker almost completely off his own baseball card. According to Topps, it's the first time in company history that a player's card has not featured the player's face."

    That is not true.

I call BS on that one. The only other variation of this card is the game used version, which has a piece of acorn on it.

Bid retractions already starting and three listed so the price will collapse on this auction or the item will be re listed due to a non paying bidder at this price.

Their purposefully terrible collation doesn't hurt either.

The past few years, I would buy Jumbos. (10) 50 card packs.... 500 cards. 330 cards per series. Can't miss, right?

I'd get about 280 commons, 140 doubles and 80 inserts.

    What a waste.

This year, I'll be buying the sets already collated.

    Thanks, Topps.

Maybe Topps employees are bidding up these cards to add to the hype. Hype= more cases/boxes/packs sold.

Yeah bidding before the release. It would be smart to bid this up to 5k ,,and then watch the cases sell!!

The SSP's usually hold around $75-$125, the eBay bump is because of the publicity.

    agree.
The publicity/public should also see the card sold for x amount and then say man I want to make x amount Ill take 10!!
JK. Its fun to see this type of action on new product.
