Crossing SS Republic coins?

Good morning all. I am totally fascinated by the coins that came off or the SS Republic and would like to own one or two as interesting additions to a type set. I could imagine myself zoning out with this in my hand for many hours while I think about the story. Couple of questions:
1. From my research it seems that all Republic coins are certified by NGC. I don't have problem with NGC, but I have some kind of unreasonable obsessive/compulsive need to have all of my coins presented in a homogenous way in the same PCGS holders..eventually I want the collection to be in one (of several) fancy PCGS wooden display boxes. Will PCGS grade Republic coins and give it an "SS Republic" designation? Also, if they do give it the designation, some silver coins in NGC are deemed ungradable and have "Shipwreck Effect" on them, which is super cool. But will this translate into just "environmental damage" on PCGS? Or is Shipwreck Effect a common enough term now that it would be placed on the holder?
2. If PCGS does cross SS Republic coins and gives it the SS Republic label, would you do it? Why or why not?
Thanks for the help.

I have never seen or heard of anyone crossing a "shipwreck effect" or graded SS Republic coin. I also recommend calling PCGS.
I owned a graded SS Republic gold coin, and I toyed with the idea of getting it into PCGS plastic. Ultimately, I thought it would be a futile and frustrating experience, and, instead, I sold it. It really did not fit my collection when I purchased it, but it was a nice coin at an attractive price at the time.
