do PCGS graders work Overtime?

With the backlog of grading that PCGS has, i would think they would work OT, like Saturdays, or longer days.
I know at my job, since we constantly have so much work backlog, we almost always work Saturdays.
Anybody know the typical work hours of the graders?

<< <i>They have been doing an excellent job in terms of turnaround times. I want to send more in now, knowing that I will get them back in a reasonable time. Props to the host >>
Not when it comes to varieties. For over a week, they've been saying 'a few extra days', but my 'few extra days' has been over a week's worth of extra days, and countiing, for coins already re-graded and attributed 11 days ago, and the coins have already posted in the pop reports. Seems they are just floating around the building...hopefully, some day soon, my grades will actually post and my coins will ship. Never, ever had a problem like this, but I have to admit, with the coins graded and pops posted, along with the turnaround time dropping to 13 days, and no movement on my submission, I'm none too happy.
<< <i>I hope not. Fatigue and eye strain would result in more grading mistakes. >>
I agree, we do not want to overstress graders. it's not like some factory job !
It's a job that needs to be 100% everytime. Graders should only work when
they feel upto it.

Every job needs to be 100% every time.

Every job? Even being a coin dealer?

and it certainly wasn't intended to imply that they are not doing a great job . . . they are . . . I was just curious about what their work hours were . . . I wonder how many hours a day they are grading?
kind of like air traffic controllers . . . they certainly are not on the microphone for 8 hours a day . . . I think they go about 20 minutes, then they are relieved for a break . . .

...could be less risky asking ATS.

Needs to be. But execution is all too frequently lacking.

I would say manufacturing airplanes and electronics for them is more critical than coin grading....anything to do with public safety demands more stringent controls than coin grading. Lives depend upon the job.

<< <i>Nothing wrong with the question, I would imagine they have part timers that come in on occassion when the back log is large. >>
...agree. but you just never can tell what question may anger the powers that be.
