Not good news, the jury deadlocked. From what I have read, the scum that killed them executed them in their cellar and stole their collection among other items. A nice couple in their 60s looking forward to retirement and time with their grandkids.
Eventually they will serve time in prison. Hopefully, someone there will start a rumor they are child molestors and they get some swift street justice.

You're right. I just finished an appraisal for the feds a few weeks ago. The perpetrators are looking at over 20 years each (2 of them) for beating an old lady and stealing a collection. She survived. Subsquent to that crime against her, her family is now forced to put her into an assisted living home and must pay that bill, I suspect; while the perpetrators sit behind bars and get a master's degree in law at the taxpayer's expense, I suppose.
Justice takes a long time, but it should be swift. "Should" being the key. Sometimes it takes a life behind bars to exact the measure of swift justice.

Nice, so the jury decided the value of the lives of those two people was only worth X years of hot meals and cable TV.
