The 1941 Large S quarter is also a very tough find, especially in that grade. Generally the higher the denomination the tougher the Large S is to find.

Every example I've seen has been, yes. I've owned three of them (never cherrypicked one, though) in different die states, and they all had the thick rim by the date.
