I think he might be walking a tightrope on these (he being Mr. Carr). Although he may be technically within the law, having "United States of America Exchange Currency" is getting really close to implying that the coin is a bonafide legal tender in the US. I think the "Liberty Dollar" comparison above is spot on. I would hate to see Dan get nailed for this because he puts out some neat stuff. JMHO...

Liberty Dollar had a distribution network and actively promoted that their pieces to be used as legal tender in commerce, to displace Federal Reserve Notes in circulation. The difference between me and them is, I don't recommend anyone attempt to use any of my items as legal tender. Of course, "barter" between informed consenting adults is perfectly fine.
yep it was mine shipping was by mistake but i had it listed for 700 so i was hoping to get 500 + for it im pretty happy with 250 a oz im just wondering what a 4oz can bring ...
I ended up with a 2 and 4 oz for my personal collection. The 2 oz is ultra stunning. I can see why DC only made 25 of the 4 ozer. That had to be TOUGH to make. So much surface.

Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
<< <i>I think Dan should put a limit on these like the mint does. What's to keep someone from ordering 10 of the next product solely to flip? >>
I might do that next time. I thought about doing it this time. When I had all the hologram coins on display at the F.U.N. show, there were a number of "lookers". But not many of buyers. So when I put the coins on my web site after I returned from the show, I didn't impose any limits. I was surprised how fast they went, even though the largest single order of hologram coins was, I think, 4 coins.

i guess it pays to be a loyal customer who checks his site at least 2 times a day to look for the next great coin i was lucky enough to get 2 of the 2oz and 1 of the 4oz sorry if u didnt get any ...but it wasnt due to me i only got the 1 extra 2oz for a flip i keep 1 of every coin dan makes as i love his work ...limits are pointless its all part of the game just like finding that cool item on ebay with a cheap BIN before anyone else does
