blotched Proof Jefferson nickels

I've got some proof Jeffs that don't seem to meet the grade to me. Do you think they turned in the holder? They are DCAM for sure but the blotched toning looks ugly to me. Would these coins be downgraded if submitted for grade review? I believe they are too inexpensive to try... Does anybody like them?

Those sure are fugly - sorry to be blunt.
I can't imagine that they looked like that when graded - so they had to turn in the holder. Not quite sure what you ought to do with them as they are so inexpensive.
Do the reverses look the same?

<< <i>How does PCGS pay out on a grade review? Their price guide or recent auction prices? >>
I did a spot review on MS67 steel pennies once and they paid price guide.
of them raw as that blotchy haze has alot of color to it when raw.
if you need to get rid of em pm me a price.

I always appreciate honest feedback, thanks for your opinion.
These came with a large purchase; all the other coins are beauties and I'm very happy with the deal.
To summarize it seems most everybody agrees these would/should not make the grade but are too low valued to send to NCS or back to PCGS for grade review.
I would do as suggested, and contact PCGS to get them sent in for a spot review. If they can "conserve" them, and they keep the grade, they will do so.
If not, they will make you a couple of offers, usually:
Offer 1: $xxx and they keep the coin
Offer 2: $xxx- and they send you the money and the coins (usually raw/downgraded) back.
Offer3: They send you different coins, in the same grade/designation (ie...a replacement)
If you take offer#2, sell the raw to Bill

grade did suffer a bit!

FWIW, i think the haze is the result of a bad rinse after a dip.
Total loss, yes
can you submit them under the guarantee yes
Will PCSG pay, yes, providing they can prove the holders were not immersed in something undesirable, like water (floods)
Good luck
