Updated my Quarter, Comments Welcome. Guess the grade?

This is my new purchase from the last HA auction. I'm at the point now that I'm occasionally upgrading my set. It's getting more expensive to do. Not the best image, but until I figure out how to take better images or pay for nicer ones this is all I got. Comments welcome, Without cheating go ahead and guess the grade. Thanks.

    That coin has some nice detail, and the toning may be hiding any remaining luster, and it could
    also be the pic, but that seems like a slightly generous grade. Definitely AU, but my thought was
    AU-53. Still can't complain about the upgrade and a nice collection imageimage

    This is one of the last 3 dates I need for my VF+ set of the Reduced Diameter (1831-1838) series;
    go figure I need the 3 toughest - 1832, 1833, 1838!

    AU55 detail, but lack of, or subdued luster, likely keeps it at AU50.
    Nice very original coin.

    Very nice coin with nice detail. AU50-53 is my opinion.

    That coin has a great overall look to it.
    The pic looks a little pixelated so it's difficult to see all the detail, but from what I can see, I like it.

    Nice coin. With the condition around the eagle's wings, I'd give it a 53. I can't read the date, maybe I need new glasses.

    It's not uncommon to find this coin weakly struck. Especially the later die states. The images are a little soft, but I don't think it's weakly graded. I actually am fairly happy with the strike on this one. A good portion of the stars are well struck, which are difficult to see with my poor images. Also the coin has a lot more luster then I could show with the images. When I first got the coin and flashed it in the light an amazing amount of blue an purple reflects. It's crazy that I can't find a way to capture it in the image.

    I will try to get a better image down the road and revive the post at a later time.

    I agree with 55. I think it's a very nice looking coin, and the strike on these is all over the place. Anything with nice stars and a good clasp is in the minority of 1838's out there. A real nice one!

    I like the slab picture much better.
    Makes it appear so much better than the close-ups.
    I thought I would lowball it at XF because I thought there was a bit too much wear on some high points.
    What a great 25c. you have!
