Gold buyers..

I stopped at the 'We Buy Gold' stand in the mall yesterday... just to waste a few minutes... talked to the fellow running it. Asked how much for an AGE bullion coin. He checked the price of gold and gave me a figure $125 below the morning fix. He said "Hey, I am a business man, I have to make a little money." I was surprised, of all the places I have stopped, his was the most honest response, and actually the best price of all I have checked over the past few months. Cheers, RickO

A new "Gold Buyers of xxx" franchise opened up in the town next to me the end of last year. Stopped by 2 weeks ago and played dumb checking their buy prices:
$10-$14/gram for 14k-18k gold
$18 for Silver Eagles
$1000-$1100 for Gold Eagles
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.

some of them are ok a shop opened in my town I stopped in there and asked if he was selling any coin and he offered me some silver dollars at 2$ over melt. He had 8 silver dollars and offered them all at the same price and let me pick the ones I wanted. I bought 3 of them 1927, 1935 and 1935-s. All circulated coins that looked like they had been in a drawer for 30 years somewhere.
He had 4 BU canadian dollars that he said were on ebay so he couldn't sell them because they had bids. I offered him 18 each for the canadian dollars , after he sells them on ebay and subtracts his fees he might regret not taking the 18.
I plan on popping in once a week and seeing what he has on hand.
