PayPal to be used at home depot without plastic card

Wow... Just saw this on the morning news. New developments in the way we pay for merchandise. Using your PayPal account you would give your phone number and pin to the cashier.

Good or bad?

It is never a good idea to give out phone number and pin number to anyone. I would hope there is a way for you to enter your own information.

Giving the phone number and pin lol hope the person behind you does not hear it and use it on a different line...

That is like giving someone you do not know the key to your house and telling them you will not be home for a few hours..Cheers, RickO

I think we would have to assume you enter the data yourself somehow, not tell it to the cashier.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

I was surprised to see last night I could have paid for my Lufthansa flight with Paypal.
I did not click on the button so I don't have more details.

Sounds like a good way to have your account drained, both primary and backup.

iPhone allows you to load Paypal to a Starbucks app and pay directly that way too.
Like home Depot though, you can't purchase coins there.

I love using Paypal as a seller and as a buyer, they offer a fantastic service.

I think that it is awesome that Home Depot will take Paypal.

I have not read the article but trust that paypal will be secure for these transactions and wont allow someone to drain your bank account.

Why not just use a credit card? What advantage does Pay Pal have over a credit card?

  • I do not plan to use paypal. Paypal is too "activist" for me. I will stick to my normal CC.

Why do so many online merchants accept PayPal when you could just as well use a CC?
