What happened to my Avatar?

This is the most frustrating forum in the world. I went to add a signature link to my profile and it changed my Avatar that I have had for over a year. I have looked through the list three times and it is not there. What happened to it? Has anyone seen it?



How do I get it back?

If you can't find it you'll have to wait until avatar upload day. I believe it's the 15th of every month.

Do you know the file name of your avatar? It will be much easier to find if you do.

Haven't had the problem myself. Had the same avatar since in joined almost 10 years ago. And still haven't landed the fish.

Ok, I've posted this before, but I will post my theory on this again....

The forum software is old and there is some sort of limit on icons for avatars. I believe we have hit that limit. Any "new" icon that gets uploaded is there, while you use it, but if you change ANYTHING in your profile on a non-icon upload day, then you lose it. It is no longer in the icon storage bank.

So, either IT needs to purge a lot of the old, goofy, unused icons to make room, or see if there is some storage setting. Unlikely to happen as the forum continues to work and it is just an annoying inconvenience to many of us.

I lost mine also, doing the same thing. I just snagged another 1809 10c avatar until next upload day!

In the drop-down box there is a GPS Icon Tracking app. that might be helpful...wait, that only works on non-coin icons, I see yours is a Jefferson nickel, never mind.

Feb. 15th is a Wednesday, be here!

Someone usually starts a thread entitled "Today is ICON load-up Day! or something to that affect.

Same thing happin to me... uploaded my new pic and posted for 2 days with it. Added something in the profile and BANG it was gone the next day and not in the list to pick from ..... THANKS

or it just could be that some avatars like my various pics (Lola Glaudini) are not wanted on a coin collector's board.............

as said before...

only thing you can do is look for it. easiest way is by remembering the file name you used and scroll the drop down box and select it, or if you can't remembr it, do the "view all" and wait almost forever it to populate and then try to find it visually, then go back and select the file name form the drop down box

if all that fails you are waiting for next upload day.

changing your profile in any way can be hazardous, sometimes.

Does anyone know when the next avatar upload day is? I thought it was on the 15th of every month? Please help, I am so tired of looking at that Eagles icon.
