Definitly a scan. I've done it enough to know that copper usually looks worse in a scan than in person. You're either going to be very happy- or it'll be cleaned....I don't know enough to ID one of them based on a scan.
I'm going to go against the grain and guess that the coin is recolored. I used to scan my coins and I can't remember a true red Lincoln cent ever looking that orange. I hope I'm wrong, though.

Coin is raw and is a gamble at best. We shall see what happens when I get it.
