    80 degrees?
    Are you sure? image
  • I wasn't in Mesa today, I was down in Tucson at the coin show and it was hot, almost 80. I live in Casa Grande, and it has been almost 80 every day here, since New Year's.

I'm in Phoenix and although it's been in the 70s a couple of times this past week, it hasn't been 80 for a while.

I am planning on being there. It is not normally really big, but friendly dealers hosted by the local coin club image The highs here in Mesa have been around 70.

  • I live rather close by (Tempe), so my father and I will likely stop by.

We've been having great weather lately! 80 feels about right if you're standing in the sun in the afternoon.

  • Supposedly all 45 tables are filled. My friend from Wisconsin will be going with me (he needs stuff for his pawn shop). Always alot of nice people at this show. Have fun all

Mesa is nice (As is AZ) this time of year... I have been to a coin show in Mesa, years ago, when I lived in Phoenix. Was a small show, but some nice stuff. Do not know if this is the same one... Cheers, RickO

I spent two full days there last year and had a great trip. A well run show, with plenty of friendly dealers. I'll make a last ditch attempt to make it again. Anybody got any Southwest miles to trade for coins? image

IF you're going this year, make sure to get there well before opening, as there are other events at the Convention Center, and the parking lots fill up very quickly.

  • Very disappointed. I received a call saying that I did not make it on the waiting list for a table at Mesa. They either need to rent out a larger space or raise the prices to rent the tables. If anybody has a table there they want to sell or if they can help me get a table, PM me, I would greatly appreciate it.
I guess I'll still go if I'm bored. Still in the mid-upper 70's and sunny every day so maybe I'll take the wife up there so she can shop and spend my moneyimage

Anybody know if the dealers buy coins from collectors at this show, or is it dealer to dealer only?

I just called my Dad in Chandler to let him know about the show... would love to go myself, but it's a bit of a hike from Napa Valley...

The dealers will certainly buy your coins, but, you will get less than you could get on ebay. It's like going to a B&M store to sell your coins. In fact, the main reason I wanted a table there was to buy coins from the attendees.
