The fates are either guiding or taunting me, I can't decide

One of my resolutions for 2012 was to finally hunt down a clipped 1933-D cent for my Lincoln date set. In almost 20 years of working on this set I've never heard of one in any collection nor seen one offered for sale. I further resolved to look at every 1933-D cent I could find on eBay in the thin hopes of cherrypicking one.
Now I know it may seem ridiculous to some of you to think that an error like this could go unattributed, and you could further think I'm wasting my time searching eBay, but I was reminded today why it's worthwhile. Over my lunch this afternoon, I ran my usual search for 1933-D cents and came across the lot below, and I immediately snagged the BIN (seller's pic):

It's not exactly what I was after, but a clipped 1926-S cent is pretty hard to come by in its own right. I figure this is a sign, but I can't decide if I'm being taunted or convinced that I'm on the right path.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

Et tu, eh?
They play with me like a dog with a chew toy so I know signs.
This could be one but it's not clearly marked.
Signs are easiest to read when they are etched deeply in stone.

Yup, I'm on it too.

So for your date set of clipped Lincolns, is it for the entire run of the series thus far (1909-2012) or is it limited to the Wheat Ears reverse years? Further, how far along are you in the project (how many clipped dates acquired and how many wholes left to fill)?
Sounds like a fun project.

Dirty copper coins, VF, thumbs, and oil just go together like hand in glove.

I'm arbitrarily capping the set at 2008 because that makes it a nice round 100 year run, plus the Formative Years and Shield cents are unknown with clips, and I don't enjoy being frustrated.
1909-S VDB - occasionally offered, but not at all affordable to me
1933-D - discussed above, it must exist but I've never seen nor heard of one
1982 small date zinc
1982-D large date zinc - all of the 1982 zinc coins are super rare with clips, possibly because this was the first time cent planchets were prepared by an outside vendor. I know someone with the Denver coin but he won't part with it; I saw a small date Philly coin offered by CA dealer Neil Osina years ago but I didn't know enough then to snag it.
2006
2006-D
2008-D - I've never seen any of these either, in general zinc cents after 2000 are extremely rare with clips, for most dates I can count the number of known examples on one hand with fingers to spare. There is a CA dealer on eBay who frequently offers big lots of clipped cents and those sometimes have one or two late date zinc clips in them.
I owe the forum updated pictures of my set, that's another resolution for 2012. I do appreciate all of the extra sets of eyes watching out for these coins, and I will reward handsomely anyone who helps me land one of them.
