A couple recent NewPs - StoneView

Right place, right time, just enough cash and trade material to pull off owning both these coins!
Moldnut assisted on the 1834 - it's a really special coin if you know these die marriages and the census data!
I'm also quite pleased to upgrade my AG/G 1811 - it was the only date in my collection which was a sight
for sore eyes relative to the rest of the coins in my collection image It's a little darker than what my set is going
for, but I will worry about upgrading the color, and maybe the grade, at a later time image

I'm calling the 1811 a VF-25 and the 1834 was given an EF-45 by PCGS!

    Thanks Barndog and USMoneyLover image

...as for the 1811, I've searched too long for an upgrade, so this one
ain't being relinquished until I find an upgrade! When I get enough
cash, and don't see any Bust Dimes I need, I will be sending in about
6-8 Bust Dimes to our Host for grading image Lots of stuff will be added
to my registry set when that happens!

The 1834 was a PITA to shoot thanks to those prongs...that's my only complaint about the prongs.
The coin is positioned somewhat less than perpendicular to the surface you are shooting; that has
been an issue I have run into when shooting most of my prongy Bust Dimes!

The 1811 is like the 1809 of 3 years ago...or so it seems!

For those that don't know why the 1834 dime is so special, it is the scarce JR-3 (R5) die marriage.
Finest known is a single AU-58 (Russ Logan collection), with at most 5-6 examples known in AU.
This puts an EF-45 example such as the one I have at #6, 7, or at worst tied for 8th in the condition census.

Finding an 1811 without any noticable marks on the surface has also proven a challenge for me, when
searching for only the best for the grade examples in my collection. Several of the EF's which have sold
in the last couple years at Heritage have had enough surface chatter that passing them up was the
only option. I'm happy patience has paid off, and I will always stress that you should be very patient
when building your collection to your EXACT specifications. It is MUCH more rewarding in the end. And
like the Dukor collection, among others, don't be afraid to step-up and pay for nice coins, because you
may be acquiring the finest example known for a given grade, and all the others are much junkier!

I'm also over 70% complete with my die marriage collection as of the beginning of the year. My goal this year
    is to get up to 80% complete and at least 100 die marriages, while also upgrading a lot of my hole-filler AG/G's;
I've still got about a dozen of those types of hole fillers. Unfortunately I am currently dry on numismatic cash image

Thanks again for looking and reading about my passion for Bust Dimes image

I love em both. Im glad I was around at the right time to get that 1834 R5 coin in the hands of the right person. Its now where it belongs. Im also looking forward to working with you a bit as I think Ill be focusing more on these little busties too.

Two great looking Dimes. Nice upgrades as well.
The 11/09 is a tough one, I would imagine.
