    You're doing it right-- go slow and buy pieces you really like as opposed to hole-filling.

    Me? I love the Washington quarter design, obverse and reverse. The eagle on the back is fantastic, I think we're just too familiar with it and take it for granted to appreciate it. I prefer it to some weird "Eagle holding a shield" reverse.

    Good luck with your set. Prices are way down from their peaks. I think MS silver Washingtons from 1932-1964 are very attractive coins. Unfortunately I can't say the same for later dates, especially those on which Washington appears to be wearing spaghetti on his head. The mint did a poor job of 'strengthening" the design. Ditto for the Kennedy halves.

    The strength of the low-relief designs would be they stack flatter I suppose.
    Surely it doesn`t refer to the addition of the main element re-sculpted.
