There is blatant abuse of the forum rules occurring as set forth above. One seller has authored fourteen separate threads in the last 70 days (since Nov. 2, an average of one new thread every 5 days).
Here are the facts:
Threads on 11/2, 11/8, 11/26, 11/26 (two on the same day!), 12/10, 12/12, 12/14, 12/15, 12/21, 1/1,, 1/4, 1/8, 1/9, and 1/11.
Three times the seller edited the threads to say "thread deleted", to combine, etc. so obviously that seller is aware of the forum rules.
On 12/10, the seller listed lots of 61 and 67 Topps and a 84 Donruss set. On 12/12, the seller listed another thread with 61 & 67 Topps lots, then 2 days later listed the same 84 Donruss set separately.
What the heck is going on here? 99% of the the forum members abide by the clearly stated rules at the top of the page, yet one seller continues to flagrantly abuse them.

<< <i>I agree and would also like to see something done about all the threads regarding things for sale on Ebay. >>
As long as the thread starts with "FS on ebay", then I don't have a problem with ebay threads. That way they're easy to skip if I want to.

WITHOUT A DOUBT.
I fail to see the harm. I don't see where the "rules" state that you are only permitted to use ONE thread FOREVER.
I agree on the ebay garbage. Eliminate it altogether. If you want to spam your ebay stuff put a link in your sigline and participate in discussions.
I will also agree on the comment about people starting threads about poppage, finds, etc on the discussion board and then putting it up for sale immediately after. It should be either be for sale or discussed, not both.

The mods probably see there role the same way a strip club manager does - if there wasn't a fight and no one had to get tossed, it's a good day. Anything else is gravy. Which is OK with me; I hate heavy-handed modding.

It's funny I asked for VCP info one time and ended up actually taking the persons name out of the post (giving them credit for giving me vcp) when the thread went down hill because I didn't want him affiliated with it....
Also... I'm pretty sure one bump a day is etiquette (I know it is on other sites)... And I only bump once a day - feel free to start drama elsewhere. I don't know your beef with me but you need to calm down and mind your own business.

Just my $.02, but one bump a day pretty well guarantees that you'll stay on page one. With only 19 threads showing on page 1, it's a lock that a thread started the same day will fall off to page 2 pretty quickly if we do daily bumps.

Never had a problem with Sean's posts. There is nothing wrong with a single bump in a single thread, especially when you have something new to add along with it, like an update in what you are selling/trading and such. Additionally, the forum rules do no forbid the bumping practice. If this is not "etiquette," then who cares. Mods simply need to post rules and enforce them. You can't enforce something when it is not a stated rule, especially "etiquette" used on "other" boards.
May be if the search function worked properly, there would be no need for several bumps because members could search for the things they are looking for and actually come up with more than "0" results. This would enable them to find posts and inquiry as required. Meatloaf

P.S. Buy my cards. Hookers and coke are getting more expensive every year in las Vegas.

<< <i>Maybe we should go to new rules. How about no more than one bump every three days? That would give everyone with a new thread a chance to be seen. >>
I like it. I haven't done many BST threads, but I generally only bump to reflect sales or else every few days, and that seems fair to me.

Why not replace the Vintage BST section with an eBay auction section? The Vintage section is deader than dead anyway. Most post their vintage cards on this forum. That way people wanting to see what we're listing on eBay can decide if they want to go there and people posting items for direct sale on here won't get bumped off the first page as frequently.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

I almost prefer it when sellers post separate threads when selling multiple items on separate days. Sometimes I find it difficult to catch up on a seller's "master selling thread" to see what's sold and what's new.
The TTT stuff can get kind of annoying, but once a day isn't that bad.
Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion... and those are mine.

Once every 5 days on average? How did you even NOTICE, let alone care? Take it from me, you need to take a break from these forums awhile when you start to give so much as half a damn and start posting well-researched, angry threads about something as ridiculously trivial as this.
