Anyone know what these are? Cool little oddball item.......

Picked these up in a deal over the weekend. They were a throw in with some other stuff. Look like pre-war, I don't know what they are but they're in superb condition.

My guess is that they are 1941 Double Play. Phil Rizzuto RC is also in this set.
  • Definitely 1941 Double Play. There are some cool players in the set. I have a few. I think they have: Ted Williams, Pee Wee Reese, Lefty Gomez, Lefty Grove, Phil Rizzuto, Mel Ott, Joe Cronin.

they are the very well known 1941 R330's made by Gum Products Inc. .... and you should cut them in 1/2 before sending them in to be graded image

actually many are found cut in half, as thats what the kids thought should be done, same with the 4-on-1 Exhibits of the 1930s Era.

the Slaughter one is nice... its his rookie (Mize's rookie is the 1936 R312)... I agree the other one is obviously short or trimmed.

These R330 cards will always suffer a bit demand wise because they are multi player cards.

PS Mize was an underrated slugger who could truly hit... 9 straight .300 seasons, but more impressive was...... 3 seasons he had more HRs than SOs, with his best season being 1947 with 51 Homeruns and only 42 Strikeouts in 664 plate appearances. Only been done 2 times in last 40 years (Brett/Bonds)

American Pickers... "Ya I took a chance on this item, and I hit a home run"

I had no idea what it was, or what it would sell for??? Looks like my gut feeling paid off again.

Well, oddball to me.....other than the basic stuff (Goudey, Cracker Jack, T206, etc), pre war stuff is foreign to me. image
