I recall most of them but not 100%.
More than a few banned members and a few that aren't banned but don't bother to come 'round here no more.

This isn't exclusive to only the members pictured but the reason most are gone or banned is because most of them contributed nothing of relevance to this coin forum. Once the Open Forum was eliminated most of them left the building with it.

GSAGUY to the right of Mad Marty, then Ken aka Ksteelheader, CLW aka Charles above Ken, Cameron Kiefer Rest his soul next to Charles.

left of twodogs with shades I'm not sure, then it is M D Woods, then Sandhawk?

You guys are all missing HRH hiding in there image

Petescorner is the far left and, Becky (dorkgirl) was right in that the center stage is Twodogs.
Surprised (not really) that people didn't get Jonesy either.

I also wouldn't say that "most" didn't contribute. The contribution may have lessened after the OF was whacked but the OF wasn't bad, in and of itself. Some folks just let their emotions get the better of them (most of us have) and it caused issues. There are folks around these parts that don't contribute, by whatever definition is most likely used, but they aren't banned or gone....

There's "Pete Scorner", "Clark of Kent", " Xpipedreamer", the devil is "MDWoods", "Cosmicdebris", "TwoDogs" as the Savior (Duh!), "MadMarty", "GSAGuy", "KSteelHeader", "CLW54", and Cameron image . In the bowl are "Dpoole", "CoinCop", and "HomerRunHall". Can't say I remember who is kneeling on the left and sitting in the front right. If CLW54 would make an appearance, I'm sure he knows as he's the unofffical forum historian and thread resuscitator.

Edited to add that Jonesy's and Cherwood's icons are decorating the wall
  • I remember most (Thig, Ken, DH, X pipe dreamer with his adorable doggie icon, CK image - the person in the middle is not who I thought?), but whose icon is that adorning the front of the table? It is driving me nuts - I think there was a "c" in his ID. I used to see him in OF a lot. UGH!!!

    Eric

Edited to add; !!!!! I must have had a reverse premature senior moment!!! That guys name is Cacheman, right?! image The medal on the front of the tablecloth was his icon.

I wonder what became of TwoDogs... he posted on the coin forum frequently back then.... great guy... some thought he was abrasive, but he was just plain speaking, to the point. No PC for him.... We need more of that.. here and all over this great country.... Cheers, RickO

OR as ole wei says...they aren't around because they never did contribute. FWIW, A good portion of those people forgot more than the young lad will ever know.

I believe Cherwood has since been placed in the family photo. TwoDogs is still around and exploring the Arizona desert with his mutts.

This thread enlightened me of a few things, including the information about the tragedy that befell the Kiefer family it also served as a reminder of different days in the forums.

Good-ole-days mentality or not; there's definitely strong feelings in my heart for the things that have-been on these forums. Sometimes it takes something as minor as an image to cause a stirring of the soul. While it's not "the season" any longer I'm thankful for the experiences I've had on the forums and the people had the fortune and benefit of meeting.

Contributed nothing??? Well I guess I can let that slide as you have no real clue as to the real nature of the people pictured. Most were around way before you, most are still around, and as for not contributed, some great numismatic minds are pictured there.

But like I stated, You have not been around since day one so your point is mute.

    Yeah, my point exactly.

If this did not have any value I would not have posted it. Each and every person is different. If you put us all in one room and asked us to discuss one subject, it might get hairy, but when you put us in a free for all, it was magic. imageimageimage

still, each n every person pictured has their own little numismatic nich, some small some very large-but all very relevant.

I love em all, miss some, talk to some-no clue about some-but all made a difference in my life- Thats all that matters to me.

    Happy New Year.
