I know it's not mega yet but maybe it will catch on and keep growing like the Barber mega thread.

Anybody with a question on this series or a new coin they got for their collection or just any comment to do with the series post it here, We could start by stating what you as a collector collect in this series.

I'll start by saying I collect all the Bust Dimes by the JR number die marriages.

Who's next??

Also pictures would be great!

    All bust material is beyond enjoyable.

    It's as though every coin has a uniqueness not attainable with later coin types.

    Since the mega-Barber thread isn't aimed at a specific denomination, would this thread be better as the mega-bust thread (calm down) and aimed at all denominations of bust material?

    Just a thought, first and probably last of the year. Came early so I can relax now for 12 months.

    Here's the high grade piece ( MS-65) I have in my type set. It is an 1832 JR-5 and according to the book it's scarce in Mint State.

    JR-1, R1...my grade guess would be 53-55 from what I can gather from the photo....Nice coin image

    Yep, I used to own a PCGS-53 until I sold it to a Forum member.

    Now I own a very nice VF-35 which I purchased from a Forum member!

    Again I will emphasize that I DO NOT believe this is an R5 die marriage and should be an R4!

    These 3 dimes plus another already shown in this thread are my bust dime collection. I have another date or two that I would like to add to my "set" when I find the right coin.
