    AU55
My current coin collecting interests are: (1) British coins 1838-1970 in XF-AU-UNC, (2) silver type coins in XF-AU with that classic medium gray coloration and exceptional eye appeal.

    I'm in the 62 Camp.

The Reverse might pull it out to a 63,
but the prime focal area on the OBV has
slide marks keeping it in a 62 Grade. JMHO.

I see no wear what so ever to bring it to AU status.

    Very pretty coin, Dan.

MS61 if it's Unc. (slide marks all over the face & neck), AU58 if there is wear. BTW, I like it (for either of the grades I guessed).

    Genuine for hairlines?

Many light parallel lines across the obverse.

    62.

No extra credit for having a nice reverses. Invariably MS pieces are graded by the obv unless you have an oddball coin where only the
    reverse was cleaned or damaged.

Overall, maybe 62. The reverse is much nicer.

seems to be in a holder- I think 61 seems right based on the image.

I'm also in the 62 camp, the fact that it looks to have good original lustre saves it.

MS-61 or MS-62. From the images, ANY grading service would be new on this.

    Looks: obv. 61; rev. 63 = 62

Looks AU to me. These Philly coins are stuck up well. But look at the vertical bars on the shield, and the middle of the tail feather. Both of them look flat from the image.

Looks like that intelligent guy who posted the first reply got it right on the money. image My handle isn't "BarberFanatic" for nothing.

I've jotted down all the handles of everyone who guessed MS grades so I know who to go to when it comes time to sell my coins!

LOL! Except that all of the 5 NGC coins in AU I sent to PCGS all came back a notch lower! image

Edit...IMO the cheek on that coin has way too much going on to garner anything better than a 53...and I am more in the 50 camp the more I look at it!
