Can you look up members?

Is there any way to look up members on the message boards? Like if someone messages you to buy something, is there a way i can make sure its a reputable person to sell to?

Asks the guy who joined here 6 months ago! image

But seriously, there is really no way to verify who is reputable and who is not based solely on how long they have been here. I have had numerous deals with newbies that went smooth as glass, and I have had a couple deals with long time members that went sour.

Your best bet is to ask this member for references of people he has done business with before. Its much easier to be on the sell side, like in your case, then the buy side.

I once had a newbie who wanted to sell me something. I told him no problem...as long as he shipped the items 1st. He did ($1,200 worth), and then I sent him the payment. Sometimes its gotta be that way.

why does it matter if you are selling something (if they don't pay, they don't get the items)?
